Roles and responsibilities for Area sales manager

:

Job Description:

This role is responsible for proactively developing and implementing Elekta sales strategy by creating and sustaining strategic relationships/alliances with their Accounts at the Regional Level such as hospitals or hospital groups, government bodies or Group Purchasing Organizations, thereby creating growth for Elekta in Radiation Therapy market.

Essential Responsibilities :

 1.       Sales of all Elekta Oncology, Software, Brachytherapy & Neurosciences products in Northen Region comprising of States like J&K, Himachal, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, MP, UP, Uttrakhand and Delhi.

2.       Develop and maintain a detailed understanding of assigned accounts’ business and keeping Product Management informed and appropriately involved.

3.       Proactively cover assigned territory through cold calling and increase funnel through efficient CLM/SFDC management.

4.       Lead and report status of all sales projects from Lead to closure/LC establishment and involve concerned teams/people in the organization.

5.       Prepare relevant quotes/offers through CLM/SFDC after due diligence with customer and relevant product teams. Arrange Live demonstrations at Elekta show sites to maximize the value and business opportunities from the transaction

6.       Achieve sales & orders volumes at the target price in assigned accounts/territory maintaining highest possible margins.

7.       Collaborate with Business Development Managers of respective product groups to prepare tenders, development of referral centers and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs’), Trade Shows & Customer Training Programs.

8.       Build Relationships, develop a business strategy and maximize business opportunities for Elekta products and services within allocated accounts/territory.

9.       Yearly Budgeting of sales & margins in the territory

10.   Monthly forecasting of orders & sales in the territory

11.   Ensure competitive intelligence & analysis to create competitive differentiation and apply relevant product benefits for different models to win in market.

12.   Controlling T&L expenses as per assigned quarterly budgets and operate & manage strictly as per Elekta values & Code of Conduct.

13.   Candidate must be willing to travel extensively to cover assigned territory properly.

 

Relevant Qualifications, Skills & Competencies:

 1.       University Degree in relevant subject- BE/B.Tech with Professional degree in business management will be preferred.

2.       12-15 yrs experience in selling capital equipment in Healthcare

3.       Strong verbal & written communication skills

4.       Proficiency in spoken English

5.       Strong business acumen & analytical skills

6.       Self-Go-getter and self-achiever

7.       Result Oriented, Persistent, Enduring and Prepared to make strong personal commitments

8.       Strong ethical standards and judgement skills
